CHENNAI: Two girls attempted suicide on Marina beach due to family problems

Chennai: Two young women tried to commit suicide by jumping into the sea at Marina Beach in Chennai on Sunday night. According to Thanthi TV report, the two sisters live in Teynampet. One of them works in a private company, while the other is a college student. They allegedly tried to take their lives due to their parents’ divorce. Patrolling police officials saw them jumping into the sea and immediately rescued them. Both were admitted to Royapettah Government Hospital for treatment. Police are currently investigating the incident.
