Shreyas Iyer Medically Fit For Odis Series With New Zealand

Mumbai: Team India batsman Shreyas Iyer has reportedly recovered fully. Iyer, who was injured in the ODI series against Australia, played two ODIs in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. It was decided to decide whether he will play in the ODI series against New Zealand based on his fitness. However, the Centre of Excellence in Bangalore has given an important update. A media report said that the Centre of Excellence has stated that Shreyas Iyer is medically fit to play international matches. With this, he has been cleared to play in the ODI series against the Kiwis. Iyer fell while taking a catch in the match against the Aussies. At that time, his elbow hit him in the stomach. This damaged the spleen in the abdomen and caused bleeding. He underwent surgery in Australia. However, after recovering from the treatment, he played in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
