Singer Sonu Nigam politely responds to Pakistani singer’s plagiarism allegation

Mumbai: Recently, a controversy arose when Pakistani singer Omar Nadeem claimed that the recent song ‘Sun Zara’ sung by Sonu Nigam is a copy of his composition ‘Ae Khuda’ which was released in 2009.

However, Sonu Nigam politely reacted to this allegation and apologized to the Pakistani singer. He said that he was not aware of this. Umar Nadeem also praised Sonu in his response and wrote, “I did not mention anywhere in my statement that you did this.” The chat of these famous singers was uploaded on Instagram.

“I’ve reached a point in my life where I couldn’t care less about these things. But hey, if you’re going to do it, at least give the OG track a little credit. If you’re going to do it, you might as well have at least done it with some finesse. Omar Nadeem wrote on his Instagram, “Big fan of Sonu Nigam, but honestly, this is a few years away from the real deal.”

Responding to Omar Nadeem’s post, Sonu Nigam wrote in the comment box, “As you all know, I have nothing to do with this, I was requested to do the song by KRK, who is my neighbor in Dubai . And even though I or everyone else didn’t sing, he still couldn’t refuse her.
Sonu also wrote, “If I had heard Omar’s version, I would have never sung it.”

Responding to Sonu Nigam’s polite post, Nadeem replied, “Hi SonuNigamOfficial I agree with you, I did not mention anywhere in your statement that you did this. As usual the news took a different turn. I have grown up listening to your songs and have learned a lot from you. I am a big fan of yours. love you.”

Omar also wrote, “As far as the ‘real characters’ involved in the drama are concerned, they are not even on my radar. Mentioning them would be like giving a lecture on quantum physics to a goldfish. Pointless and they won’t get it anyway. I will just focus on the things that really matter…”
