SIR Mission: Election Commission of India officials to visit Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu: Election Commission of India officials will conduct field inspections in Tamil Nadu starting tomorrow (November 24) for the Special Intensive Revision of Voter Rolls process.
In this regard, Chief Electoral Officer and Secretary to the Government, Archana Patnaik, issued a press release:
As part of the Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls for the year 2026, Election Commission of India officials are scheduled to visit Tamil Nadu to review the Special Intensive Revision activities in Tamil Nadu.
P. Pawan and Devansh Tiwari, Deputy Directors of the Media Wing of the Election Commission of India, will review media coordination and voter awareness activities for the Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls Phase II in Chennai from November 24 to 26, 2025.
Following this, they will conduct field inspections. Additionally, Election Commission of India Director Krishna Kumar Tiwari will visit Coimbatore and Tiruppur districts to review the progress of these Special Intensive Correction activities, particularly the distribution of tally sheets and their digital entry by the respective polling booth level officers at the district level.
He said that similarly, Secretary Madhusudan Gupta will visit Chennai and Chengalpattu districts to inspect the Special Intensive Revision.
