Sirmaur recorded 85.16% voter turnout, with Kamaru block recording the highest voter turnout at 89.38%.

An impressive 85.16 percent voter turnout was recorded in the second phase of Panchayat Raj Institution elections on Thursday in 90 Gram Panchayats and 538 wards of Sirmaur district. Voting remained peaceful throughout the district. Priyanka Verma, District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Sirmaur, stated that out of a total of 125,673 eligible voters, 107,023 cast their votes. According to the district administration, the voting turnout among men was 85.12 percent, while women cast their votes at 85.21 percent.
The highest voter turnout of 89.38 percent was recorded in the eight Gram Panchayats of Kamaru Block. Voter turnout in the nine Gram Panchayats of Nahan Development Block was 86.27 percent, while voter turnout in the nine Panchayats of Dadahu Block was 85.67 percent.
Similarly, 82.3 percent voting took place in 12 Gram Panchayats of Pachhad Block, while 84.42 percent voting took place in 16 Panchayats of Paonta Sahib Block. 86.92 percent voting took place in 11 Panchayats of Rajgarh Block, 86.17 percent voting took place in 13 Panchayats of Sangrah Block, and 82.89 percent voting took place in 12 Gram Panchayats of Shillai Block.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that voting concluded peacefully at all polling stations. He commended the participation of young first-time voters, senior citizens, women, differently-abled voters, and all others who actively contributed to strengthening the democratic process. He thanked people from all sections of society for their keen interest in the elections and enthusiastic participation in the democratic process.
