Six arrested in the kidnapping of a stockbroker in Ahmedabad
Surat (IANS). Surat Police has arrested six people in connection with the kidnapping of Ahmedabad share broker Shaktibhai Dhaduk. According to the police, the arrested persons have been identified as Maqbul Zikarbhai Solanki (Ghanchi), Sabir Sharifbhai Solanki (Ghanchi), Sohil alias Lattu alias Gattu Iqbalbhai Shaikh, Rameez Ahmed alias Raja Khan Jamil Ahmed Pathan, Firoz Hussainbhai Gogda and Farooq Hussainbhai Gogda. Along with arresting the suspects, the police also successfully seized all the four vehicles used in the hijacking.
Various items totaling Rs 25.18 lakh including five mobile phones and some cash have also been seized.
The abduction incident took place on July 5 in the crowded area of Mota Varacha in Surat when Dhaduk was forcibly taken away in a car.
After this, the accused took the vehicle towards Pal Hotel located near Kamrej Toll Plaza. On reaching there, two of the four alleged kidnappers put Dhaduk in another car and drove towards Ahmedabad.
They passed through Ankleshwar, Bharuch, Nabipur, Jambusar, Borsad and Tarapur Chokdi. They eventually planned to take Dhaduk to Rajkot in another car.
However, the Surat police managed to stop the criminals midway.
