Smartphone worth lakhs stolen by cutting the lock of mobile shop, accused Lucky arrested
Raipur. Lucky Patwa, the accused who stole mobile phones worth lakhs by cutting the lock of a mobile shop, has been arrested. Harish Shriwas lodged a report in the police station Ganj that he has a mobile shop in the name of Shriwas Brothers in Devendra Nagar Chowk, which he himself operates. On 03.04.2024, he had closed the shop and locked it at night and went to his home. When the applicant came to open the shop on 04.04.2024, he saw that the lock of the shutter of the shop was broken and the shutter of the shop was half open. When I went inside, I saw that the shop’s goods were scattered and there were no mobile phones of various companies kept in the shop. An unknown thief broke the lock of the shutter of the applicant’s shop and entered inside the shop and stole the Mashrooka kept in the shop. On which crime number 160/24 section 457, 380 IPC has been registered against unknown accused in police station Ganj. The crime of was registered.
Senior Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Singh taking the above incident of theft seriously And police station in-charge Ganj was directed to trace and arrest the unknown accused as soon as possible.
On which, under the direction of senior officers, the joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Police Station Ganj started making detailed inquiries of the nearby people including the applicant regarding the incident and locating the unknown accused. Along with inspection of the incident site by the team members, CCTV cameras installed in and around the incident site were also inspected. The camera footage was scrutinized. Along with verifying the old accused of theft on the basis of incident, the team members were also collecting information about the accused who were recently released from jail and keeping a constant watch on their activities. Along with appointing an informer in the case, efforts were also being made to identify the unknown accused through technical analysis. Meanwhile, the team members received information from the informer that a person in Police Station Ganj area was looking for a customer to sell a new mobile phone at a cheap price. On which the team members went to the place indicated by the informer and traced the person and caught the person. During interrogation the person revealed his name to be Lucky Patwa. When the team members inquired about the mobile phone kept with him and asked him to produce the documents, he was continuously misleading the team members by not producing any kind of document, that on being strictly interrogated, he was arrested by the police station Ganj. It was reported that mobile phones of various companies were stolen from the shop by cutting the lock of Shrivas Brothers shop located at Devendra Nagar Chowk in the area. The accused is originally a resident of Rajnandgaon, who lived in Raipur for the last two months and worked in a private hotel. On the date of incident, the accused had committed the theft by cutting the lock of the shutter of the said mobile shop with a cutter machine.
The accused was arrested and a total of 29 mobile phones of different companies were stolen from his possession, 01 cutter machine used in the incident, 04 cutter blades, 01 screwdriver, 01 hammer, 01 drill and 01 Activa vehicle Jumla worth about 5,50,000/-. Money was seized and action was taken against the accused.
