Smuggler carrying ganja from Orissa to Varanasi was caught in Raipur

Raipur. Ajit Yadav has been arrested with 20 kg of ganja. Tikrapara police had received information that in front of the new bus stand Bhatgaon Gate No. 01 under the Tikrapara police station area, a lean and thin man with a light beard and moustache is wearing a black and blue tracksuit and blue lowers. He has a green, blue and red lined plastic bag in which he is looking for a customer to sell illegal ganja. On the information of the informer, Additional Superintendent of Police West Daulat Ram Porte, City Superintendent of Police Purani Basti Rajesh Devangan, and Police Station Incharge Tikrapara Inspector Manoj Kumar Sahu were directed to verify the information and catch the accused red handed with ganja.

On which, under the direction of senior officers, the Tikrapara police team went to the said place and identified the person as told by the informer. During interrogation, he told his name to be Ajit Yadav, son of Umashankar Yadav, age 24 years, resident of village Dhaneja, police station Zafarabad, district Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. The team members searched the plastic bag kept with the accused in which ganja was found. On which the team members arrested the accused and seized 20.410 kg ganja worth about 2,04,000 rupees from his possession and registered a case against the accused under Narcotics Act in Tikrapara police station under crime number 31/25 section 20 (C) NDPS Act and sent the accused on remand.
