The Belgaum session has become a touring talkies: Ramesh Katti

Karnataka: Former MP Ramesh Katti alleged, “Development is only possible when governments respect the sentiments of the people. The Belagavi session has been reduced to a mere touring talk show.”
Speaking to reporters at an event in Ammangai village on Friday, he said, “Since 2006, 13 sessions have been held to address regional imbalances. Now, the 14th session is halfway through, and people should know what benefits North Karnataka has received from the sessions held by the governments in Belagavi.”
He added, “If the cabinet colleagues and senior officials who come from Bengaluru to Belagavi honestly review the situation in the surrounding districts and submit a report to the government, they can bring about a change in the lives of the people here.”
He further stated, “The attitude of all parties and leaders who consider public representatives advocating for the development of North Karnataka as enemies must change. People’s hopes are diminishing year after year, and all public representatives from this region should work without any bias and exert pressure by raising their voices.”
District Reorganization: He said, “The government should make the winter session meaningful by dividing the Belagavi district. To achieve this, it should hold taluk-level meetings under the leadership of heads of mutts, elders, leaders, and current and former MLAs and MPs, and, after consulting legal experts, declare areas that offer geographical convenience to the people as district centers.”
