Sonu Sood Calls for Ban on Online Gaming for Kids Under 16 After Ghaziabad Tragedy

It is known that social media and online gaming addiction are putting youth and children in great danger. Recently, three sisters of the same family committed suicide due to online gaming in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, which created a stir across the country. Famous Bollywood actor and real hero Sonu Sood reacted strongly to this tragic incident. He had earlier requested that social media be banned for children under the age of 16. In the wake of this latest incident, he once again made a strong appeal to the central government. On this occasion, he posted on X Vedi.
“Three children lost their lives in Ghaziabad. They did not succumb to violence or poverty. They succumbed to the invisible pressure created by online gaming and digital addiction. I say it again.. Social media and online gaming should be banned for children under 16 years of age except for education. What childhood needs is proper guidance and love.. not algorithms and screens. This is not an appeal to blame anyone, but to protect our children. Don’t forget to see this incident as just another news story.. Now is the time to respond,” Sonu Sood wrote.
