Special Gram Sabha organized on 19th December
Durg. A special Gram Sabha will be organized in all Gram Panchayats on 19 December 2023 for the preparation of Gram Panchayat Development Plan. Under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural), the list of families without toilets in the villages covered by the Gram Panchayat and their list will be sent to the district and district panchayat after approval in the Gram Sabha. Plus villages are not in any category, to declare them as emerging villages, a resolution should be passed in the Gram Sabha and the prescribed certificate will be sent to the District Panchayat. Passing a resolution in the Gram Sabha to declare those in Plus Ujjwal category as excellent villages and preparing a video of the Gram Sabha announcement and sending it to the District Panchayat along with the Gram Sabha resolution and certificate will be passed in the Gram Sabha.
Responsibility will be determined in the Gram Sabha for keeping the biogas plants established under Gobardhan Yojana functional, for proper use and maintenance. GPDP is implementing the scheme of cleanliness related works under the amount of Tied Fund received from the 15th Finance Commission. The proposal will be passed by including it. The points will be included compulsorily.
Like previous years, this year also the Ministry of Panchayati Raj is launching the Public Planning Campaign 2023-24 (PPC 2023-24) for the preparation of District Panchayat, Janpad Panchayat and Gram Panchayat (DPDP, BPDP, GPDP) Development Plan for the financial year 2024-25. The event is being organised. During the campaign from 02 October 2023 to 31 March 2024, an action plan for the financial year 2024-25 was to be prepared by organizing general meetings and gram sabhas in District Panchayat, District Panchayats and Gram Panchayat respectively.
Due to the Model Code of Conduct, the Gram Sabha could not be organized within the stipulated time limit, due to which the Gram Sabha will be organized in all the Gram Panchayats on 19 December 2023 for the preparation of the Gram Panchayat Development Plan. Instructions have been given to include various agendas in the special Gram Sabha, in which it is mandatory to take a resolution on at least 01 theme out of the 09 themes of LSDG for making GPDP and enter it in the Vibrant Gram Sabha portal.
Priority of related activities will be determined to complete the selected resolution. In the Gram Sabha meeting, officers and employees related to line departments will present information about the schemes of their respective departments. The draft GPDP includes the plans of the entire department as well as low-cost-no-cost activities. Apart from this, important points of Swachh Bharat Mission will also be discussed as an additional agenda in the Gram Sabha meeting.
