State Advisory Board reviews PCPNDT Act enforcement
Raipur. A meeting of the State Advisory Board for the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act was held on Thursday at the State Nodal Agency Office located at DKS Bhavan premises. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Jyoti Jaiswal, Head of the Department of Gynecology at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Raipur. Discussions were held on the effective implementation of the Act and its various provisions in the state.
The State Advisory Committee discussed the report received from the Government of India regarding the installation of an active tracker on the sonography machine. The committee also reviewed the preparation of guidelines for the next batch of MBBS Doctors for Sonography training under the PCPNDT Act. Information about the follow-up report of the last committee meeting held on March 31 was also provided.
Joint Director of PCPNDT Act, Dr. Prashant Srivastav, Professor of Radio Diagnosis at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Dr. Vivek Patre, Head of Department of Pediatrics, Dr. Omkar Prasad Khandwal, Associate Professor of Medicine Department, Dr. R.K. Patel, Deputy Director of Health, Dr. Mahendra Singh, Assistant District Public Prosecution Officer Mr. Dhaval Sinha and PCPNDT Consultant Ms. Varsha Rajput were present at the meeting.
