State Vice President gave a blow to JDU, political temperature rose
Patna: Former JDU MLA in Bihar and currently state vice president Lalan Paswan has resigned from the primary membership of the party. He has attacked by alleging alliance with RJD and atrocities on Dalits. In his resignation, he has described RJD as a party that established terror and goonda rule in Bihar.
In a letter sent to the party president, Lalan Paswan writes, “After the compromise with the Rashtriya Janata Dal of Lalu Prasad Yadav, who established terror and goonda rule in Bihar, the increasing incidents of murder, rape and harassment on Dalits and its prevention are being addressed. “In protest against no strict action being taken, I resign from the primary membership of Janata Dal (U).”
Last month, Rashtriya Lok Janata Dal (RLJP) chief Upendra Kushwaha had claimed that there was going to be a split in JDU. Even if it doesn’t break all at once, it may break into pieces, but it is sure to break. Shortly after this, senior JDU leader and former Legislative Council member Ranveer Nandan had announced his resignation from the party.
He wrote a letter to JDU national president Lalan Singh and announced his resignation from the primary membership of the party. A copy of the letter was sent to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and State President Umesh Kushwaha. However, JDU claimed that Ranveer has been expelled by the state president for 6 years due to anti-party activities. In this regard, a letter was issued by the state president of JDU.
