Stationery articles are manufactured in RIPA

Raipur. The state government is providing employment to the women and youth of the state through the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park (RIPA) scheme. The scheme is helping entrepreneurs by offering them various opportunities. People are becoming financially empowered through these endeavours of the government. They are undertaking many businesses in RIPA as per the availability of local resources. Livelihood-oriented activities in RIPA are creating avenues of employment for the villagers. RIPAs are also being established in urban areas, given their success in rural regions.
 
Youth are engaged in the manufacture of stationery items
 
The youth of Sankra village in Bemetara district are engaged in manufacturing stationery items in RIPA, where a stationery print unit is established. Ten members of the Youth Development Committee in Sankra village are employed in manufacturing stationery items. The Secretary of the Committee, Devmati Sahu, said that they are manufacturing products like notebooks, registers, diaries, files, and pamphlets from raw materials obtained from the neighbouring Durg district. Products manufactured in RIPA are available in government and non-government offices, schools, and Ashrams as per demand. He said that they have recently received an order for five thousand pieces of measurement books, file covers, file pads, and registers from Janpad Panchayat Berla. Additionally, they also received 500 orders for 250 registers, file covers, file pads, and other materials from the Education Department, Berla. The Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Rakesh Chaturvedi, said that this stationery unit was established recently. They are also marketing it so that people know about it and they receive more orders. They have received an appreciable response from the local market, and people have praised the quality of their products as well. Consistent efforts are being made by the state government for employment and social upliftment in rural areas. According to the members of the committee, the rural economy has also gained momentum through RIPA. Youth are securing the opportunity to learn new skills. As a result, their self-confidence has increased, and they are inspiring other villagers. The members expressed their gratitude to the state government for this initiative.
