Strict action on electricity consumers, many connections were cut

Jashpur. Electricity company officials have started taking strict action against consumers who have not paid electricity bills for a long time. Electricity company officials are taking action against such consumers. Within two days, electricity connections of 25 defaulters of Jashpur city have been disconnected. All of them are shopkeepers. These are such consumers who were not paying electricity bills for the last one and a half years. Jashpur JE Dinesh Tripathi said that the connections of 25 defaulters’ shops have been disconnected.
All of them had outstanding electricity bills of more than Rs 20 thousand. They were not depositing money. Therefore action was taken to disconnect the connection. JE said that Rs 25 lakh is outstanding from 48 defaulters in the city. Even after giving notice to them, the amount has not been deposited on time. Most of the people were managing with less money deposited. Due to this the outstanding amount was increasing every month. Electricity company employees are reaching the shops of such defaulters.
