Sunny Deol clapped for son Rajveer on the first shot of ‘Dono’
Mumbai (IANS). Actor Rajveer Deol is debuting in Bollywood with actress Paloma in the upcoming film ‘Dono’. He revealed how the presence of Sunny Deol and Dharmendra gave him confidence.
Rajveer revealed that his father Sunny Deol had given him a clap for his first shot in ‘Dono’.
Apart from Rajveer and Paloma, ‘Both’ is also the first film of director Avnish Barjatya. Both stars shared how their respective families came to the set during the shooting of the film, often becoming the ultimate support system on the most challenging days.
Talking about Sunny Deol’s presence on the set, Rajveer said, ‘On the first day of shooting, father was on the set with the family. In fact, what made my first day on the sets of ‘Bohon’ so special was that they clapped for my first shot. That will be my most memorable moment from this film.
“Bade papa (Rajveer’s grandfather Dharmendra) also came to the set, and he came on a day when I was very nervous. I was shooting my most difficult scene which comes just before the interval, and when he came unannounced I was surprised when I came on the set. Bade Papa’s presence gave me a lot of confidence.
Sharing his experience during the shooting of the film and the support he received from Sooraj Barjatya, Avneesh said, “Just having dad there was a huge source of strength for everyone, especially me. His reassuring presence meant a lot to us, especially during a stressful shoot. Their advice on the little things can make the biggest difference. He is also the greatest person to bring new ideas. I was very fortunate that he was there as a supporting pillar during the shooting of the film.
Made under the banner of Rajshri Productions in association with Jio Studios, ‘Both’ is produced by Kamal Kumar Barjatya, late Rajkumar Barjatya and Ajit Kumar Barjatya. This film will be released in theaters on October 5 this year.
