Surat: Blood donation camp organized by City Police and Pandesara Industrial Association

A blood donation camp was organized for Thalassemia children by Surat City Police and Pandesara Industrial Association at Pandesara Police Station. State Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi participated in the program and also donated blood. Surat Police Commissioner and other police personnel also donated blood for Thalassemia affected children in this program and this type of program will be organized every month by Surat Police.

The event began with the lighting of the lamp by the Mayor and officials including State Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi and Police Commissioner. State Home Minister appealed to the people that Thalassemia affected children need blood every month and therefore Surat Police should organize blood donation camps every month. The special thing is that State Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi and Police Commissioner Ajay Kumar Tomar also donated blood in this event.

In the blood donation program, Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi said that Surat Police is the first level police in the country. Police is going door-to-door listening to the problems of the people. We have introduced a process to ensure that merchants do not feel pressured to write complaints about clothing transactions. It is our responsibility to nab and bring the fraudsters with the traders wherever they are hiding. We want to take strict action. Harsh Sanghvi advised the traders not to give goods worth lakhs of rupees to any stranger. We have to fix a target that this year fraud of so many crores can be avoided.

He further said that Surat Police has taken responsibility of 1400 to 1500 Thalassemia affected children in Surat city. The government has taken the responsibility of providing injections and medicines to these children. The government is always committed in this direction. There is not a single example in the country that the police of Surat city make arrangements for blood donation and delivery of blood to the children every month. Today the police themselves are ready to donate blood.

After donating blood, police and TRB jawans will return to their duty after noon. Today the police has taken a big responsibility towards the society, when the police has taken such a big responsibility then the society also has a big responsibility. Wherever the police organize camps, congratulate them. When our sensitivity has decreased, let’s stand up and clap and respect this sensitivity of the police. Every family suffering from Thalassemia should be helped. Today we also take a pledge that if the family of a child suffering from thalassemia is working in a company, then the people of the company should take responsibility of such children.
