Surat: Disaster of unseasonal rain, youth dies due to lightning

For the last two-three months, there has been a continuous change in the weather in the entire South Gujarat including the city-district. It is getting cold due to rain in summer, it is feeling like monsoon. It rained with lightning in the city yesterday. Unseasonal rains turned into disaster, a young man died due to lightning while cutting trees in Gothan village.

Youth dies after being struck by lightning

A young man working in the field of Gothan village of Olpad taluka of Surat district got struck by lightning. Satish Rathore, a 22-year-old youth, was working in the field. While he was cutting trees in his own field, the rainy season froze. Suddenly lightning started to crackle in the sky. The young man was cutting a tree when lightning struck him and he died.

Doctor declared dead while being taken for treatment

When Satish Rathore was working in his field, lightning struck and he was immediately taken to Kamrej PHC for treatment. The young man was taken to the health center on time, but the doctor found on examination that he had died. Satish’s death created chaos in the family. A wave of mourning ran in the entire village. Everyone was shocked by the sudden incident. Lightning was witnessed across the city yesterday and there was unseasonal rain. Today morning it was a cloudy environment, the amount of heat was less.
