Suryapet District SP Announces Home FIR Registration for Victims

Suryapet District SP K. Narasimha said in a statement on Wednesday that victims will now be given the opportunity to register an FIR from home. He said that the Suryapet District Police Department will work to ensure that if the victims call, the police will come to their homes, receive complaints and register cases without the need to go around the police stations. He said that the new plan and action plan implemented by the Telangana State Police Department for transparency in police services will be implemented vigorously in the district.

He said that this will be of great help to those who are victims of physical attacks, people belonging to SC and ST communities, children, students who are subjected to ragging, and women who are subjected to harassment. He said that instructions have been given to the staff and officers of all police stations accordingly. He said that upon receiving information through phone call, online request or other means, the concerned police personnel will reach the residence of the victims and register the complaint. He said that this system will speed up the process of registering complaints and increase the trust of the people in the police system.
