Suspect hiding in cremation ground, arrested with sharp knife

Raipur. Accused Vinod Rana alias Bathua has been arrested with a sharp knife. On 28.11.2025, Kabir Nagar police station was checking suspicious persons during town patrolling. Meanwhile, a suspicious person was seen hiding near the Balmiki Nagar crematorium after seeing the police. He was surrounded and caught. Upon checking, he was found hiding a sharp iron knife.

When asked his name and address, he told his name as Vinod Rana alias Bathua, son of Som Bahadur Rana, age 21 years, resident of Lamba Block near Garden, Balmiki Nagar, Police Station Kabir Nagar, Raipur. The sharp iron knife was seized from the accused’s possession, the accused was arrested, and action was taken by registering a case number 248/2025 under Section 25 of the Arms Act against him at Kabir Nagar police station.
