Suspension of two employees of Child Welfare Home soon

Raipur. The Chhattisgarh State Child Protection Commission has taken major action against the cruelty to children at the Korba Rehabilitation Home, recommending the suspension of two culpable employees. Commission Chairperson Dr. Varnika Sharma stated unequivocally that any form of cruelty to children will not be tolerated, whether in a Rehabilitation Home, a Children’s Home, or a hostel. Negligence by staff will face immediate action.
Following a series of complaints in Korba, the Commission Chairperson arrived in Korba, accompanied by Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade. During the inspection, the Children’s Rehabilitation Home, Girls’ Home, and Boys’ Home confirmed the chaos, inappropriate behavior, and cruelty to children within the Rehabilitation Home. Commission Chairperson Varnika Sharma spoke with each child individually. Some children who had previously run away also recounted the abuse, leading to the recommendation to suspend two culpable employees.
Commission Chairperson Dr. Varnika Sharma stated that violations of children’s rights will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Anyone who commits cruelty will not be eligible to continue in service. Strict action will be taken against such individuals. The Chairman warned that if negligence is found in any institution related to the safety of children, direct action will be taken.
