Swastika Mukherjee alleges sexual harassment by producer over her morphed nude image

Mumbai (IANS) | Actress Swastika Mukherjee, who was recently seen in the streaming film “Kaala”, has alleged that she has received threatening emails from Sandeep Sarkar, co-producer of the upcoming Bengali film “Shibpur”, and his associates. She was allegedly informed that her photographs had been doctored and would be shared on pornographic websites. Shocked by this development, the actress has filed a complaint of sexual harassment at the Golf Green police station in Kolkata.

The actress has reportedly also approached the Eastern India Motion Pictures Association with scanned copies of these threatening mails. Clarifying her association with the producer, the actor said that she never met the producer during the shooting of ‘Shibpur’.

As per media reports, the co-producer’s legal representative has denied involvement in any such act, adding that the actress took the extreme step after being instigated by the film’s director Arindam Bhattacharya.

‘Shibpur’ starring Parambrata Chatterjee is all set to hit the theaters on 5th May.
