The CM visited a government model school and interacted with the students.

Tamil Nadu: Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, on behalf of the School Education Department, inaugurated the Government Model School building and hostels for male and female students in Tiruvannamalai, constructed at a cost of ₹564.72 million (564.72 million rupees).

He inaugurated the school on Saturday. Following this, he personally visited the Government Model School and interacted with the students.

Model schools are being established and operated in every district to provide government school students with opportunities to pursue academics, fine arts, and sports, and to pursue professional education (science, technology, engineering, arts, and medicine) at the best educational institutions.

The Government Model School building and hostel were inaugurated at the event.

The Tiruvannamalai Manakara Government Model School building was constructed on 4.52 acres at a cost of ₹193.32 million (185.7 million rupees), the boys’ hostel at a cost of ₹101.0 million (101.0 million rupees), and the girls’ hostel at a cost of ₹193.32 million (185.7 million rupees). Built at a cost of ₹185.7 million, this building will cost a total of ₹564.7 million. It accommodates 400 boys and 400 girls.

The Tiruvannamalai Manakara Government Model School building, consisting of a ground floor and two floors, covers a total area of ​​52,695 square feet. It includes 22 classrooms, male and female teacher rooms, a multi-purpose hall, a library, an arts and crafts training room, three disabled restrooms, 60 restrooms, six handwashing basins, a ramp for the disabled, chemistry, physics, and biology labs, and two high-tech computer rooms.

Male and Female Hostels:

The male and female hostels are located in separate buildings, each with a ground floor and four floors, each measuring 73,195 square feet.

These colleges have a total of 832 beds, of which 416 are for male students and 416 for female students.

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin personally visited the Government Model School in Tiruvannamalai city and interacted with the students, inquiring about the facilities provided and their needs.

At that time, Srinisha, a tenth-grade student, participated in the National Chess Championship held in Tripura state on November 27-30 and presented the medal and certificate she received for winning third place to the Chief Minister and received congratulations.

Present at the event were Ministers E.V. Velu, M.R.K. Panneerselvam, Anbil Mahesh Poyyamoshi, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Ku. Pitchandi, Tiruvannamalai District Collector K. Tharpakaraj, Member Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Model Schools, R. Sudhan (Retired), and senior government officials.
