Municipal elections should be conducted in a strict manner: Election Observer

Jagityala: Election General Observer Khartade Kalicharan Sudama Rao has advised the nodal officers and special officers to take all necessary steps to conduct the municipal elections in a safe manner. He said that the assigned duties should be carried out effectively. District Collector B. Satya Prasad and Election Expenditure Observer D. Srinivas participated and spoke in a meeting held at the mini conference hall of the Collectorate as part of the municipal elections.
He said that the municipal elections should be conducted in a safe manner without any irregularities in accordance with the election code of conduct. He advised everyone to work together to ensure that the elections in the district are free and transparent.
He said that all the officials assigned to the elections should be fully aware of the rules.
He said that nominations are an important aspect in the conduct of elections and the officials should be vigilant and ensure that every aspect is done as per the rules. He said that the candidates contesting the elections should contact the relevant authorities for the receipt, scrutiny, resolution of appeals, allocation of symbols and obtaining permissions. Additional Collector of Local Bodies B. Raja Goud, Additional SP Seshadrini Reddy, District Nodal Officers, Special Officers and Municipal Commissioners participated in this meeting.
