Hyderabad: Migrant worker dies due to electric shock in Patancheru factory

Sangareddy: A 34-year-old industrial worker died of electrocution at Agarwal Rubber Industries in Bandlaguda industrial area of Patancheru on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Suresh Singh Yadav, a migrant labourer from Bihar. Following the incident, colleagues and family members of the deceased staged a protest at the factory premises and demanded justice and compensation for the bereaved family. The relatives alleged that the accident occurred due to non-implementation of basic safety measures by the management. After prolonged negotiations, the management agreed to pay an ex-gratia of Rs 55 lakh. The family had initially demanded Rs 1 crore.
