The administration took strict action against illegal liquor.

Gariaband. On the instructions of Collector B.S. Uikey, under the guidance of Excise Officer Gajendra Kumar Singh, a continuous campaign is being conducted against illicit liquor in the district. On October 31st, the Excise Department team raided potential illicit liquor manufacturing sites in the forest adjacent to village Indagaon and recovered 150 bulk liters of illicit liquor and narcotic substances hidden in the forest.

During the operation, a case was registered against the accused under Section 34(2) of the Chhattisgarh Excise Act 1915. The District Excise Officer stated that continuous action is being taken against the manufacture, transportation, and sale of illicit liquor in the district.
