Bhubaneswar: A fire reportedly broke out at a Café in Khandagiri area of Bhubaneswar this afternoon reducing property worth lakhs of rupees into ashes.
The fire broke out at Secret Private Café situated in Khandagiri due to a short-circuit while some customers were having a party in the presence of several staff, said sources.
Speaking about the fire incident, owner of the café said, “The fire took place due to a short-circuit. It damaged property and we have incurred a huge loss. The café will remain closed for some time now.”
“A party was going on when the fire took place. However, we managed to rescue everyone. The fire spread immediately as there were several flammable objects including plywood. We tried our best to douse the fire but as it was beyond our control we called the fire-fighters,” he added.
On being informed, a team of fire-fighters reached the spot and douse the fire within no time. Though none, neither any staff nor any customer, was injured, property to the tune of lakhs of rupees was damaged due to the fire mishap.
