Face a statewide movement; farmers warn the state government.

Madhya Pradesh: Questioning the government’s claims of being farmer-friendly, a large number of farmers, under the banner of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (United Farmers’ Front), staged a massive protest outside the Collector’s office on Tuesday.
The protest was held to demand the immediate payment of Bhavantar (price difference) compensation, fair prices for their crops, and the resumption of TNC (Town and Country Planning) permissions for lands affected by the Ahilyapath project.
The farmers issued a clear warning that if the Bhavantar payment is not made within seven days, organizations affiliated with the Samyukta Kisan Morcha will launch a statewide agitation in Indore and across Madhya Pradesh.
