Chandigarh: Provident fund body organised regional meeting

Chandigarh: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) held its 109th regional committee meeting here today. The meeting, chaired by Additional Central Provident Fund Commissioner (Punjab and Himachal Pradesh) Amit Singla, was attended by key officials, employer representatives and trade union members. Improvement in employee benefits, timely pension disbursement and enhancing grievance redressal mechanism were discussed.
The panel members highlighted the importance of better coordination between government officials, employers and employees to ensure seamless social security provisions. An important agenda point was adjustment of interest on delayed provident fund settlement and the need for increased employer compliance. The committee stressed on resolving regional issues affecting EPFO ​​members.
