To make India a developed country, school education must be strengthened: ISRO chief Narayanan

Tamil Nadu: ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan stressed that the foundation of school education must be strengthened to make India a developed country by 2047.
V. Narayanan, ISRO Chairman and member of the Curriculum Design Committee, attended a consultative meeting in Chennai on Monday regarding curriculum changes in Tamil Nadu school education.
He told reporters that for the next ten years, textbooks should be designed in a way that helps students study well and serve the country. Consultations are underway to achieve this. The basic values of India and Tamil Nadu, such as hospitality, the spirit of giving, and respect for others, should all be included in the curriculum, at least in the form of stories.
The discussion focused on what the curriculum should be like to transform our country into a developed country. If the basics of school education are not right, nothing can be done to progress.
Our country should become a developed nation by the year 2047. A strong foundation must be laid in school education. Curriculum action plans should be incorporated to improve students’ intelligence. Experts from various fields should be invited and their opinions sought. Therefore, I believe this will be very effective in creating a sound curriculum, helping our students, and laying a strong foundation for India’s future.
