Youth killed in Bike-Pickup van collision in Odisha’s Balangir district

Kantabanji: In a tragic incident, a youth was killed in Balangir district of Odisha in a road mishap. The accident took place near the new petrol pump of Bangomunda on the Kantabanji-Bangomunda State Highway no. 42.

The deceased has been identified as Bijay Thela of Dandara.

As per reports, after playing Holi in Bangomunda Bijay was returning home in his bike. At the turning near the new petrol pump in Bangomunda, a speeding pick up van hit his bike from the front side.

Accordingly, he sustained critical injury. The people who were around rescued him and rushed to the hospital. However, at the hospital doctors examined him and declared that he was brought dead.

After getting information, Bangomunda Police reached the spot and initiated investigation. Further probe of the case is underway.
