Police caught a woman with 20 liters of Mahua liquor.

Raigarh. Under the guidance of Superintendent of Police (SP) Divyang Patel, continuous action is being taken against illegal liquor traders. In this sequence, a police team led by Sub-Inspector Sanjay Nag, Station House Officer, Bhupdevpur, raided the village of Naharpali and arrested a woman with liquor.

According to information received from an informant, a raid was conducted in the presence of female staff and witnesses. Mamta Chauhan, wife of Raju Chauhan, age 35, a resident of Naharpali, Police Station Bhupdevpur, and a total of 20 liters of raw mahua liquor, packed in four five-liter plastic cans, and three aluminum cans used for making liquor, were recovered from her possession.

Police confiscated the seized material and registered a case against the accused woman under sections 34(2) and 59-A of the Excise Act at Police Station Bhupdevpur. She was produced in court, where she was remanded to custody. Sub-Inspector Sanjay Nag, along with Head Constable Jagdish Nayak, Surendra Thakur, Constable Krishna Kumar Warren, and female constable Gauri Sidar, played an active role in this operation.
