Harish Rao Questions Revanth Reddy’s Rush to Attend Meeting

Hyderabad: Former Minister Harish Rao questioned why the Revanth Reddy government had earlier written a letter to Delhi stating that it would attend the Delhi meeting only if it agreed to two of its conditions, and now, even though neither the Centre nor the AP government has given any assurance on those conditions, they have rushed to the meeting. Speaking at a press meet at Telangana Bhavan, he rained criticism on the Revanth government.

Harish Rao said, “The Delhi meeting will be held only if two conditions are agreed upon. The first condition is that the DPR for Nallamala Sagar should be stopped immediately. The Center should stop the approval process immediately. The second condition is that AP should give its assurance that the pre-feasibility report has been stopped. My question here is, has the Center given a guarantee for these two conditions? Has the AP government given a guarantee? The letter was sent with your approval, so why are you participating without a guarantee?” he asked.

‘Why did you rush to the meeting today? If Revanth Reddy doesn’t care if injustice is being done to Telangana, then why don’t you care, Uttam? Adityanath is the one who went to this meeting. Adityanath Das, who had previously participated in the 9th Godavari River Management Board meeting, said that Kaleshwaram, Godavari, Sitarama Lift Project, Tupakulagudem, Mission Bhagiratha, Chanaka Korata, Ramappa Diversion are all illegal projects and they should be stopped. Sending a person who has opposed Telangana projects at every step to the meeting is not just to betray Telangana,’ Harish Rao protested.
