Digital health monitoring is strengthening primary care in Andhra Pradesh: CM
Kurnool: Reviewing the state government’s flagship Sanjeevani Project, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday visited the Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Aspari in the Alur constituency of Kurnool district to inspect the integration of technology into rural healthcare delivery. During the inspection, the Chief Minister evaluated the functioning of the digital platform, which links individual electronic health records to deliver predictive, preventive, and curative care.
He inquired about disease detection protocols, follow-up monitoring, counselling services, and family involvement in patient care, comparing current outcomes with traditional healthcare systems.
Medical officers briefed him on a recent success where a high-risk pregnancy was safely managed at the PHC using the V-Pod telemedicine platform with remote specialist consultation. Commending their dedication, Chandrababu congratulated the medical team for ensuring a safe delivery.
Interacting with visiting mothers and families, the Chief Minister spent time with children while women shared positive experiences regarding regular antenatal tracking, automated exam reminders, and instant digital report access.
Health officials explained how continuous digital tracking has significantly strengthened primary healthcare across rural clusters.
Reiterating his administration’s commitment to expanding healthcare accessibility, Chandrababu Naidu announced that the Sanjeevani Project will be executed even more rigorously across Andhra Pradesh.
He emphasized that technology-driven medical services will play a pivotal role in enabling early diagnosis, improving treatment success rates, and delivering comprehensive,
zero-delay health protection to every citizen in the state.
Local public representatives, senior health department officials, and district administration authorities accompanied the Chief Minister during the PHC inspection.
