EOW-ACB arrested 3 Patwaris

Raipur. The EOW-ACB has arrested three Patwaris involved in the Bharatmala Project scam. Significantly, the High Court had rejected the anticipatory bail pleas of these three Patwaris on Tuesday itself.

The EOW-ACB is investigating the Bharatmala Project scam. Allegations of corruption worth ₹43 crore have been leveled in this scam. A case has been registered against the then SDM Nirbhay Sahu, Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar, and more than half a dozen other officers and employees. All of them had applied for anticipatory bail, but the High Court rejected their applications. Following this, the EOW-ACB arrested the accused female Patwari Basanti Dhritlahare, Lekhram Devangan, and Deepak Dev.
