The people of Tamil Nadu must defeat communal forces: K. Veeramani

Tamil Nadu: Dravidar Kazhagam leader K. Veeramani said that the people of Tamil Nadu should remain vigilant and defeat communal forces.
A Periyar Ulagam fundraising meeting and campaign was organized by the Dravidar Kazhagam on Sunday night. The meeting, held at the Nagai Abirami Amman Temple, was presided over by Dravidar Kazhagam district president Napoleon. At the meeting, Dravidar Kazhagam president K. Veeramani was presented with a sum of ₹14 lakh. Following this, he said:
The people of Tamil Nadu will never give room to communalism. But now, a communal group is instigating people to incite riots by lighting lamps in Tirupparankundram.
The RSS’s agenda is to dismantle India’s political system, which is a secular, egalitarian, democratic republic, and establish a Hindu nation. It is also taking steps to destroy India’s diversity, such as promoting one language and one culture.
Since the BJP and religious organizations have not been able to gain a foothold in Tamil Nadu, they are now planning to instigate riots in the name of devotion by lighting Karthigai Deepam lamps. Therefore, the people of Tamil Nadu should be vigilant and thwart the RSS’s religious agenda, he said.
The meeting was attended by DMK district secretary N. Gautham, Nagapattinam MLA Alur Shah Nawaz, former MLA MGK Nizamuddin, Nagapattinam Municipal Council Chairman I. Marimuthu, Dravidar Kazhagam district secretary Bhupesh Gupta, and other office bearers.
