ED raids on I-PAC company in Kolkata.. CM Mamata strongly condemns

The ED conducted raids on Kolkata-based political consultancy I-PAC on Thursday morning. The ED is also conducting raids on the house of Prateek Jain, a key official of I-PAC, as well as the I-PAC office in V. Salt Lake. These searches are being conducted as part of a money laundering case. Prateek Jain.. is a key person working for Mamata’s TMC party. He writes political strategies for TMC.
With this, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee strongly condemned the raids by the central investigation agency ED on the house and office of Prateek Jain, who is favorable to her. Mamata, along with senior police officers, went to Prateek Jain’s house while the raids were going on. Mamata said that she had taken key documents related to her party. Mamata alleged that the ED was carrying out these raids to know the details of her party’s candidates and secret information related to political and election strategies. Mamata questioned what would happen if they also raided the BJP office. Mamata spoke to the media with a file in her hand. She also reached the I-PAC office. While the ED raids were going on, TMC workers were protesting outside the office.
On the other hand, central forces have also been deployed at the I-PAC office. Senior police officials are also reviewing the situation. On the other hand, opposition BJP leader Suvendu Adhikar condemned the CM’s visit to the house of the person whose house is being raided by the ED. He said that Mamata has made it her business to obstruct the duties of central investigative agencies and demanded that the ED take action against her. He said that Mamata’s action is immoral.
