Petitions of religious candidates should be dismissed: T. Velmurugan

Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu Right to Life Party (TNLV) leader T. Velmurugan alleged that the nomination papers of candidates were rejected without valid reasons.
Regarding this, T. Velmurugan met with Tamil Nadu Chief Election Officer Archana Patnaik at the Chennai Secretariat and lodged a complaint. Later, he told reporters: The nomination papers of 20 candidates of the Tamil Nadu Vazhuvarimai Party have been rejected in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. The petitions of our party candidates have been rejected due to pressure from the DMK, AIADMK, and BJP.
Election officials have said that they rejected the petitions saying that they did not fill in full stops, commas, yes, and no. The reasons given are not valid. Therefore, we have filed a complaint to take action in this matter, he said.
