Kanker. A case of kidnapping and rape of a minor girl has come to light in Bhanupratappur police station area of the district. Bhanupratappur police has arrested the accused youth from Dipka in Korba by running Operation Muskaan campaign. The minor girl has been handed over to her family.
Let us tell you that the family had complained about the missing of the minor girl in Bhanupratappur police station. The accused has raped the minor girl by luring her. Police has arrested accused Vivek Baghel from Dipka in Korba. The minor girl has also been recovered from the accused’s possession.
Bhanupratappur police station in-charge Rameshwar Deshmukh said, the police reached the accused on the basis of mobile location. The accused used to work as a daily wage labourer at his brother-in-law’s house in Salihapara of Bhanupratappur. During this time, the minor came in contact with him. A case was filed against the accused Vivek Baghel under various sections including rape and he was produced in the court, from where he was sent to jail.
