Sidhu Offers Cm Post To Dk Shivakumar In 2028
It seems that Siddaramaiah is set to become the CM of Karnataka! This matter was clarified at a breakfast dinner held on Saturday. Reliable sources have revealed that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has requested Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to leave the post for himself for the next five years and take over the post of Chief Minister after the assembly elections in 2028. However, DKS is said to have insisted on handing over the post to him now as per a secret agreement. Siddaramaiah invited DK Shivakumar to a breakfast dinner on Saturday morning to resolve the political crisis over the leadership change as per the orders of the Congress high command.
However, it is reported that the impasse could not be resolved in this meeting. Congress leaders said that the two leaders are committed to their respective positions in this meeting. DKS recently publicly revealed that a power-sharing agreement was reached in the presence of five or six leaders on the occasion of the Congress party’s victory in the 2023 assembly elections, and that each will have to continue as Chief Minister for two and a half years. Accordingly, Siddaramaiah’s term as Chief Minister will complete two and a half years on November 20.

Speaking to reporters after the breakfast meeting, Siddaramaiah made it clear that there are no differences between the two of them and there will be none in the future. He also reiterated that he would abide by the decision taken by the party high command on the current crisis. He said that both of them have decided to follow whatever the party high command says. The Chief Minister made it clear that there will be no chaos from tomorrow and there is no chaos even now. He commented that some media representatives have created the chaos. He dismissed the news that the BJP is planning to move a no-confidence motion against his government in the Assembly. The BJP and the JDS have a habit of making false allegations. Both the parties are saying that they will move a no-confidence motion. Their strength is only 60 (BJP) and 18 (JDS). That is a waste of effort. Siddaramaiah said that we will face their allegations effectively.

DK Shivakumar also supported Siddaramaiah’s comments. Describing himself as a loyal soldier of the Congress party, DKS said that he is ready to go to Delhi if the party high command asks him. As far as the leadership issue is concerned, we will follow the decision of the party high command. Whatever they say, it is our decision. We also know that the Congress party is facing a difficult time. We believe that Karnataka will play a key role. DKS announced that we will bring the Congress to power again in 2028 under the leadership of Kharge and Rahul.
