Water pipeline burst floods roads near Bhopal’s number 11 bus stop

Bhopal: A major water pipeline broke up in Bhopal, just outside the Number 11 bus stop, and caused water to shoot up into the air on Saturday. This has caused to extensive waterlogging on the road and flooding of a residential colony.

The pipeline burst also led to a massive spillage of water in the main road that disrupt the flow of traffic for a few hours. Vehicles were diverted as commuters were delayed because of submerged roads and low visibility on the roads was witnessed.

The local people in the adjacent colony complained that water was flowing into low-lying premise,s which affected their daily life. The authorities at the municipal level were notified and some repair was done to contain the leak and resume supply.

The officials claimed that the cause of the burst is under examination, and it is likely to resume normal traffic after repair work is done.
