Ambedkar Memorial Day: Deputy Chief Minister pays tribute in Villupuram
Tamil Nadu: Deputy Chief Minister and DMK Youth Secretary Udhayanidhi Stalin paid tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, by garlanding his statue in Villupuram on Saturday.
A garland-laying ceremony was organized by the DMK at the Ambedkar statue in front of the Kalaignar Arivalayam in Villupuram.
Deputy Chief Minister and DMK Youth Secretary Udhayanidhi Stalin garlanded the statue and paid his respects.
Present on the occasion were DMK Deputy General Secretary and MLA K. Ponmudy, MLAs I. Lakshmanan (Villupuram), Anniyur A. Siva (Vikravandi), South District DMK In-charge Pon. Gautham Sigamani, former MLA S. Pushparaj, District In-charge Committee member I. Janagaraj, City Youth Wing Secretary S. Manikandan, District Panchayat Committee Chairman M. Jayachandran, Municipal Council Chairperson Tamilselvi Prabhu, City In-charges I. Sakkarai and S. Vetrivel, Municipal Council members R. Manavalan and Navaneetham Manikandan, and other party officials.
