Security at all lovers’ points will be beefed up: Odisha Deputy CM Pravati Parida
Bhubaneswar: In view of the recent gangrape incident occurred on Gopalpur sea beach, Odisha government has decided to beef up security at all the “lovers’ points” and prominent tourist destinations across the state, informed Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida.
Two rounds of high-level meetings have already been conducted to address the issue and implement robust safety measures and provide security to both the local residents and visiting tourists, Parida informed to the reporters.
She further said that technological surveillance and regular patrolling at the lovers’ points and major tourist places will also be enhanced.
The Deputy Chief Minister also informed that all the accused persons of the Gopalpur gangrape case were arrested within hours after the occurrence of the incident.
