Jalandhar: Mother and son die in Dasuya accident

Jalandhar: A horrific road accident occurred on the Jalandhar-Jammu National Highway near Uchhi Bassi Cantt, near Dasuya, killing two members of the same family and seriously injuring two others. The victims were traveling from Jammu to Khatusham in a car when it went out of control and hit a divider. The deceased have been identified as Meera Minhas and her four-year-old son, Haryansh, who died on the spot. Her husband, Shakti Singh, an Army personnel, and their three-year-old daughter survived but suffered serious injuries. Both injured were taken to the Government Hospital in Dasuya for treatment. Hospital officials confirmed that they are undergoing treatment. Investigating officer Didar Singh stated that the investigation is ongoing and the exact cause of the accident is yet to be determined.
