Kodada, April 27: Renowned music director, writer and singer Bheems Cicerolio said that the bond that connects man to man and the balance of society is maintained by the literary and cultural sectors. He said that songs and music are the form that stands for the hardships and joys of man and the evolutionary process of human life. On the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the “Thera” Cultural Council, Bheems Cicerolio presented the Art Award and the Literary Award to renowned poet and singer Chintala Yadagiri in Kodada on Sunday night. Speaking at a public meeting held on the occasion, music director Bheems said that he is accepting the “Thera” Cultural Council Award with honor as a mark of his long-standing cultural journey. He said that the body can be torn to pieces, but no one can kill the song and poem that emerged from those pieces of the body.
Chinthala Yadagiri said, “Telangana soil is the soil that has given me the literary and cultural signature. We are weaving the lessons of the soil that inspired me to fight and taught me through songs into songs.” Former chairman of Telangana Sahitya Academy, Juluru Gowri Shankar, said that only the literary and cultural sectors have the power to unite all people regardless of caste and religion. He said that Repala Kuchipudi, Nadigudem and Kodad will remain forever in the history of the state’s literary, cultural and theatrical sectors. He said that Kodad has become the gateway to Telangana’s literary and cultural life from this background. He urged the leaders of the region, public representatives and District Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy to build an auditorium like Ravindra Bharathi in Kodad town. Juluru praised the tireless efforts of Vemula Venkateswarlu as the administrator of the Telangana Theatre Arts Council for 33 years.
