Tamil Nadu: Discount on property registered in the name of women: Benefit of Rs 3.71 lakh

Tamil Nadu: The government’s proposal to reduce the registration fee by one percent for property purchased in the name of women has so far benefited 3.71 lakh people in Tamil Nadu.
The budget statement states: The registration fee for immovable properties, including houses, plots, and agricultural land, worth up to ₹10 lakh registered in the name of women has been reduced by one percent since April last year. This has benefited 3,71,705 people so far. Due to government schemes and initiatives, our state boasts 41 percent of women working in factories across the country working in Tamil Nadu.
The breakfast scheme implemented in government schools has increased school attendance. Similarly, learning has improved. ₹1,284 crore has been spent on this scheme over the last four years, benefiting 19.34 lakh students. Children whose parents have passed away will receive 2,000 rupees per month for their safety and care, so they can continue their education until they reach the age of 18 without having to leave school.
The government is providing subsidies to encourage transgender women to become self-employed. To empower transgender women, they have been given opportunities to work in village police forces.
