Tamil Nadu: Elderly man dies after falling from a tree

Tamil Nadu: Elderly man Vediyappan (70) died after falling from a tamarind tree near Aroor on Saturday.

Vediyappan (70), son of Kuppakounder, a resident of Chelampatti Puthur village in Aroor taluk, Dharmapuri district, was climbing a tamarind tree on his farmland to pluck tamarind. At that moment, Vediyappan fell from the tree and broke his limbs. Upon receiving information, neighbors rescued him and took him to the Aroor Government Hospital. The elderly man later died on the way to a private hospital in Coimbatore for further treatment. Aroor police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
