Kullu. Teacher building will be built in district headquarters Kullu. Chief Parliamentary Secretary Energy, Tourism, Forest and Transport Sunder Singh Thakur on Saturday laid the foundation stone of Shikshak Bhawan to be constructed at a cost of about Rs 1 crore 80 lakh.
He said that teachers have an important role in nation building. With the construction of this building, retired and serving teachers will get better facilities at the district level.
In this building, accommodation facilities will be available to teachers coming from remote areas of the district to the district headquarters for their work.
At the same time, better space will be available for various events organized by teachers from time to time. He said that the first installment of Rs 30 lakh has been released for the construction of the building.
He gave instructions to complete the construction work of teacher building in one year. Appreciating the various social works being done by the Bhawan Samiti, he said that the Samiti has been providing free coaching to needy students for a long time and many students have been selected in excellent institutions after taking coaching from here, for which the Samiti congratulated.
