Teachers are not coming to teach, studies have stopped in Durg school.

Risama. On October 13th, villagers in Risama village, Durg block, locked the primary school. They alleged that the three teachers posted at the school had been absent for several days, disrupting children’s education. This incident occurred in Durg, the home district of Education Minister Gajendra Yadav.

Villagers reported that approximately 80 students from grades 1 to 5 attend Risama Primary School. Headmaster Naresh Thakur and two assistant teachers, Mohan Singh Thakur and Geshwar Raju Sahu, are posted there.

According to villagers, the headmaster was on leave until October 11th, but was absent without notice on October 12th and 13th. The other two teachers have been absent for several days, citing BLO duty. They allege that no teacher has attended the school for the past 15 days. Village Deputy Sarpanch Mannulal Sahu and Dilesh Kumar Sahu stated that not a single teacher has attended the school for the past 15 days, completely disrupting children’s education. He expressed concern that fifth-grade students don’t even know how to write their names. The midday meal system has also become chaotic due to the absence of teachers.
