Telangana: 40 passengers spent the night in a bus stuck in Warangal
Warangal: Around 40 passengers of a Mahabubabad-bound TGSRTC bus had to spend the entire night inside the bus after it got stuck in floodwaters in Venkatapuram suburb of Nekkonda mandal in the district. The incident occurred on Saturday night when the bus was on its way from Vemulawada to Mahabubabad. The bus got stuck in floodwaters of Topanpalli pond, which overflowed the road.
The passengers informed their friends and relatives about the incident, who later informed the district authorities. After getting information about the incident, the district collector reached the village and rescued the passengers with the help of a tractor. He took them to the government school in the village. The collector said that the passengers would be taken to their destination after the rains subside.
